Welsh onion, or Japanese bunching onion (Allium fistulosum) is a perennial plant belonging to the family Alliaceae. This onion is very similar in its appearance to the related common onion, Allium cepa, Moreover, welsh onion has all advantageous properties of common onion.

Welsh onion contains double amount of vitamin C as compared to common onion. Carotene contained in welsh onion improves skin health and condition of mucosae. Moreover, welsh onion is an excellent disinfectant. That onion is used for the preparation of drugs helping to lower blood pressure and heighten the elasticity of capillaries.
