This diet has appeared not long ago. However, in Europe, it has advanced in popularity and become the most fancy among similar diets. The principle of the American diet — «supper minus» — is entirely clear: it implies the lack of any supper.
The diet proposes some rules which should be followed implicitly:
- Purposeful choice of appropriate food.
- Prohibition at harmful fats and their replacement by useful ones.
- You may eat whatever you want for breakfast. The American diet has no considerable bans — if you want, you can eat some farinaceous food or some sweets, you can also drink some alcoholic drinks — the main condition is to draw a line somewhere.
- You should not count calories. The chief aim is your desire to lose weight.
- Get ready for the prolonged path towards the result. When losing the weight fast, you injure your health and «burn» muscle tissues.
Recommendations of the American diet:
- There is no supper. You must not take any food after 17:00, you can only drink water or other drinks.
- You should drink as little as possible.
- You should remember about harmful fats and try not to abuse them. Excluding harmful fats from your menu is even better.
