Civitas Solutions, Inc., which markets its services nationally as The MENTOR Network, is a national network of local health and human services providers in 35 states offering an array of quality, community-based services to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain and spinal cord injuries and other catastrophic injuries and illnesses, and to youth with emotional, behavioral and medically complex challenges, as well as their families.
Founded in 1980, Civitas Solutions has grown from a single residential service provider to a national organization providing services and supports in 35 states and to more than 12,600 clients in residential settings and more than 16,500 clients in non-residential settings. Our depth of experience coupled with our ability to offer clinical resources and share best practices across the organization has made us a preferred provider for a diverse group of payors and referral sources across the country. Our community-based services are a high-quality, cost-effective alternative to institutional settings. As of December 31, 2014, our services are provided by over 21,500 full-time equivalent employees as well as approximately 5,600 independently-contracted foster parents and host home providers.
